An exhibition of paintings by von Brasch responding, in contemporary contexts, to alchemical motifs as to be found in Splendor Solis, a late Renaissance collection of book illuminations, which build an integral part of a manuscript dealing with psychological transformations.

The paintings for this show present a survey of von Brasch’s focus on this theme during the past decade; there will be a talk on how the ancient pictures in Splendor Solis, in the deep time of art, can still be of interest for contemporary art and ways of communication taking placer on a difficult to grasp border between the inside/outside of perception.
